Infrastructure

  • Three times to the moon and back: a distance of 2.7 million kilometres – that’s the distance travelled by trains on the German rail network each day. Deutsche Bahn manages an infrastructure of superlatives between Flensburg in Germany’s north and Füssen in the south, with over 64,000 kilometres of track, 5,700 stations and its own 7,600-kilometre-long high-voltage power grid supplying traction current.
